Gurminder Mann qualified from Nottingham University Medical School in 1991. After completing subspecialist laparoscopic training he was appointed to the City Hospital as a Consultant Urologist and was the first to perform laparoscopic urological procedures in Nottingham.
Gurminder has a specialist interest in urological cancer and subspecialises in advanced renal cancer and retroperitoneal surgery for testes cancer and sarcoma. He also treats all aspects of general urology including bladder dysfunction, urine infections and prostate problems. Gurminder offers standard prostate surgery as well as Urolift for men requiring intervention.
Gurminder provides a vasectomy reversal service for men from the UK and abroad. He uses a microscope assisted reversal technique with good results and successful pregnancies for couples more than 20 years after surgery. For more details visit vasreversaluk.com.
Gurminder is currently Head of Service of the Urology Department at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. He has previously served on BAUS Council and is currently a member of the Specialist Advisory Committee in Urology.
He lives with his partner and two active children. He is a keen runner, cyclist and skier and continues to develop his photography skills and appreciation of cinema. Gurminder has with advancing years taken up golf again.
